For over 30 years, I’ve helped students, professionals, and lifelong learners discover that learning Spanish is not just about vocabulary or grammar—it’s about connection, confidence, and culture.
My journey as a language educator has taken me far beyond the traditional classroom. I’ve done community service, presented at events, conducted research and surveys, translated and interpreted across settings, and graded AP Spanish exams. Each experience shaped one clear belief: language learning works best when it is personal, practical, and culturally rich.
That belief is the heart of U-Speak.
I created U-Speak to meet learners where they are and guide them toward real-world communication. My programs are thoughtfully tailored to your goals—whether you want to travel, advance your career, connect with family, or simply feel confident speaking Spanish in everyday life.

As a dedicated and innovative language educator with over 30 years of experience, I am passionate about fostering effective communication and celebrating the richness of Hispanic culture. My journey has encompassed a diverse range of activities, from conducting surveys and presenting at events to translating, interpreting, and grading AP exams. These experiences in different fields have helped me reflect on how to couple our customer needs with our tailored program to serve your needs.
My commitment to education goes beyond the classroom, as I believe in using technology and research to continually improve instruction and link learning to real-world experiences. I’m not just an educator; I’m a facilitator and a leader who strives to create a positive teamwork environment where students thrive through their journey.
My background includes a bachelor’s degree in teaching as a Spanish-English teacher from Pedagógica University in Bogotá, Colombia, and further studies with a Master’s in Adolescent Education from Kennesaw State University, with specialization in Instructional Technology. I hold certifications as a Microsoft Innovative Educator, DELE examiner for levels A1/A2, B1/B2 and I am a certified teacher in K-12 Spanish, ESL, Gifted in Field, Teacher Leadership and instructional technology. Throughout my career, I have presented workshops and facilitated training sessions, sharing my expertise and passion for teaching. These experiences have allowed me to build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues. We created a community and an inspiring shared commitment to quality in education, and that, amigos, is what brought me to working on this unique program to fit your needs.
As the owner of U-SPEAK Languages LLC, I provide a caring remote tutoring in Spanish and English, catering to clients aged 5 to 84. I also contribute to the Latin American Association and work with Elevate K12, Varsity Tutors, Tutor.com Classroom. Currently, I am working with Georgia Cyber Academy helping and encouraging students to be bilingual.
My passion also extends to community service, as I’m actively involved in organizations like the Rotary Club and Mass Ministries. Thanks to this, I have noticed the importance of our Hispanic / Latino culture and how it differentiates individuals in several forms and enriches the path of many others including immigrants and their families. Looking at life from another perspective will help us understand the importance of learning another language and another culture, another way to connect to the world.
